Addressing Homelessness
The North Rosslyn Civic Association (NRCA) is dedicated to creating a supportive community while helping our most vulnerable neighbors. Our comprehensive approach combines direct services, strategic partnerships, and community engagement to address homelessness.
Core Initiatives
Rosslyn BID’s "Clean & Safe Operations" program goes beyond maintaining public spaces. Through our Rosslyn Safety Rangers, Rosslyn BID provides hospitality services and safety patrolling while building meaningful connections with individuals experiencing homelessness. Rosslyn BID Ambassador Mr. Chaney plays a crucial role in this effort, developing relationships with vulnerable community members and connecting them to vital resources.
Strategic Partnerships
We've established strong collaborations with PathForward, Arlington's homeless services organization, which provides comprehensive support including medical care, shelter, meals, housing assistance, and employment opportunities. Additionally, we partner with the Arlington County Police Department through an off-duty officer program focused on community engagement and addressing safety concerns.
Arlington County Resources
Arlington County's Department of Human Services offers essential resources including shelter, housing assistance, and case management. Arlington County's Mobile Outreach and Support Team (MOST) specifically addresses mental health crises, ensuring comprehensive care for those in need.
How You Can Help
Community members can contact designated resources for assistance or to report concerns, with 911 reserved for emergencies. A coordinated approach ensures every individual receives the help they need while maintaining Rosslyn as a vibrant, caring community.
