One Rosslyn
The North Rosslyn Civic Association (NRCA) continues to champion our neighborhood's future through active engagement with the One Rosslyn development project. We're proud to support this transformative initiative that promises to bring much-needed residential units and community benefits to our area.
What We've Accomplished
Our association has successfully advocated for significant community benefits, including a $7.5 million contribution to affordable housing. We've also worked to ensure the project will enhance our retail landscape and improve grocery shopping options for residents.
Our Current Focus
While we support the overall development, we're actively addressing critical transportation and pedestrian safety concerns. Our efforts concentrate on two key areas:
N. Moore Street improvements, where we're pushing for better bus turn designs, safer loading dock configurations, traffic calming measures, and restrictions on through-traffic to prioritize buses and service vehicles 1.
Fort Myer Drive enhancements, where we're advocating for designated off-street delivery zones and proper ride-share pickup locations to prevent double-parking and congestion 1.
Our fundamental belief is that walkable, safe environments should be the baseline expectation for any development in our community.
