The View & CoStar

The North Rosslyn Civic Association (NRCA) recently took action to ensure our community benefits from major development changes in our neighborhood. When CoStar Group proposed changes to their Central Place Tower, including closing public access to the observation deck, we worked to secure meaningful community benefits.

What We Accomplished

While losing public access to the observation deck was disappointing, we negotiated an important win for our community. CoStar agreed to transfer $13.8 million in community benefit payments to the Gateway Park Project, which will provide lasting value for all residents.

Additionally, we secured public meeting space from CoStar for NRCA general meetings, ensuring we can continue serving our community while potentially helping other local non-profit organizations access meeting facilities.

This collaboration demonstrates how community advocacy can turn challenging situations into opportunities. CoStar's investment brings 650 jobs to our area and shows their commitment to being good neighbors in Rosslyn.
